News Break: Asics x Ronnie Fieg Gel Lyte lll “Super Red” Sneak Peek

Updated 2.26.2010: Added another image of a another possible color-way.

Taking a break from sneakers and focusing on collaborative efforts for his winter footwear in 2009/2010, Ronnie Fieg sets the stage once again for an Asics release. This time, it’s his staple shoe series that starts with the word Super.

Here is a sneak peek into the Asics x Ronnie Fieg Gel Lyte lll Super Red“. As you can see from the above pic, you get a grey and red color-way that looks to be in a similar make-up to his “Super Blue” release of last May, 2009. If it is anything like the “Super Blue”, you can expect the same color blocking or something close to it with added accents of color. Whether he’s still going to use a synthetic suede toe box , like the Super Blue, or go the Pigskin way, like the NiceKicks.com release, is up in the air. The shoe is scheduled for a Summer release at this time and this is the only available photo at the moment. Expect these to be a limited release like all his other Asics.

Here is a couple of pictures of my pair of the “Super Blue“. I would just imagine switching out the blue for the red. Again, just an assumption. If it’s going to have a speckled mid-sole or not is unknown also. If it stands to be anything like his Super Blue release, Ronnie has a definite winner again.
