Coming Soon: Nike Air Max 1 x PHANTACi “Grand Piano”

UPDATE 12.8.09: Get the release info after the jump with more images.

Nike is just churning out collaboration after collaboration this year. It’s the last month of the year and Nike again hits us with another Air Max 1 Collaboration. Jay Chou and the PHANTACi Team, from the well respected Taiwan boutique of the same name (only nike TZ account in Taiwan), put their vision to work on what they call the Air Max 1 Black Piano“.

UPDATE 12.8.09: These will release on the 12th of December at PHANTACi with only 200 pairs at the store. The other 200 will release at retailers around the world.

The Nike Air Max 1 x PHANTACI Black Piano” came from Jay Chou’s musical inspiration’s. The color palette comes from the PHANTACi logo. They call these colors black beauty, pink passion, and white luxury. The shoe comes in an all patent leather upper, which is obviously taking note (no pun intended) from the high gloss paint from pianos. Black patent is used for the mudguard, overlay and outer ankle collar. White patent is used for the toe box, side panel, and swoosh. You get a patent gold heel panel withe the upper eyelet in the same color, pink for inner lining and sole. A white mid-sole is added with a black air unit (hard to tell from the angled shots; could be pink). Than you get two pair of laces in black and pink to go, with a black lace lock engraved with PHANTACi on it.

These will release very soon, with a possible December date, to a limited world wide release of only..wait for it..400 pairs. Stay tuned for further details and launch date. Also, check a sneak peek into what could possibly be an alternate version before the changed mudguard to black. Or just maybe, this could be an in-store only release like the AM1 x Patta “Purple Denim”.

This could be a possible pre-production model before the black mudguard or it could be an in-store exclusive.
